With natural water based formulas, clean preservatives are necessary to protect from mold or pathogenic microorganisms. We preserve our shampoo formula with safe, COSMOS-approved ingredients known as potassium sorbate (from mountain ash berries) and sodium benzoate (found naturally in apples and cranberries)—widely accepted in clean beauty to protect against microbial growth without disrupting your health. Despite using clean, naturally derived preservatives, we keep them at MINIMAL levels—ensuring the majority of the formula is packed with nutrient-rich, functional ingredients.
What is our conditioner Natural Preservative?
With natural water based formulas, clean preservatives are necessary to protect from mold or pathogenic microorganisms. We preserve our conditioner formula with Linatural® Ultra-3 — a COSMOS-approved natural preservative system made from plant and coconut-derived pentylene glycol, propanediol, and phenethyl alcohol. It offers broad-spectrum microbial protection without synthetic preservatives, hormone disruptors, or known immunotoxins. Despite using clean, naturally derived preservatives, we keep them at MINIMAL levels—ensuring the majority of the formula is packed with nutrient-rich, functional ingredients.

I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed. The ingredients are extremely natural with no harsh chemicals, and my hair feels clean and healthy without any buildup. The rosemary scent is fresh and subtle, not overpowering like most products. My hair is softer, less frizzy, and just easier to manage overall. This is definitely a great option if you’re looking for something clean and effective.
Started using this recently and the results have been utterly amazing. After using, my hair feels thicker, fuller, and overall healthier. For an individual who has naturally thin hair like myself, it’s nice to have a shampoo that ACTUALLY works, and one that makes my hair feel like it has more volume than normal.
I have been looking for a product that contains ONLY natural ingredients for a while also, and this one checks all the boxes. And it smells great too!
The overall look and feel of the product is very impressive also. I love the fact that Vita Prima’s shampoo comes in a glass bottle, as opposed to a plastic one. This is personally important to me as I know the effects plastic can have on one’s health.

I have purchased BOTH the shampoo and conditioner and this is absolutely among the best combos I have purchased in natural products. The shampoo with rosemary has a wonderful, clean scent, and it has become my go to shampoo with first class, organic ingredients. The conditioner, smooth and luxuriant, complements it perfectly. You will be pleased with this shampoo/conditioner. You can feel and smell how healthy it is made.

Wonderful Product! It has been an endless search of a CLEAN shampoo and conditioner that works like Kerastase but without the guilt of putting chemicals on my scalp! It smells so good, it doesn't cake up, and my hair feels like silk. I have hair to my waist, so I use a lot of it (gets expensive) but it is really worth it!
